Hi Bill, Mike and Carol, Thank you again for you pleasing comments. Mike, the flower is a Clematis, but this one was already in my garden when we moved here 10 years ago and I don't know it's name I'm sorry. This was taken early evening the day before the petals opened fully. Bill J. #2974046
