You have a very attractive gallery John. What serious stare this kitty cat has. She must be yours because she looks like she is in love with you. This is a lovley portrait and beautiful exposure! #4306

Donna,
Having looked at your gallery, it's a real compliment!

Yes, she is ours and isn't shy about "asking" for attention from us. Also quite a "talker" when she gets started.

This image was "commissioned" by my other half ("I need some photos of the cat"). To make photographs of her (and our dog) I observe routine behaviors beforehand looking for perspectives and methods to exploit them. KC perches there frequently.

She was intently watching my activity with the camera. All I had to do was open all the window curtains, turn on all the lights, set up conditions under which she perches there and wait for the "pose." Turned out better than anticipated. An 11x14 Ciba of this one (a K-64 tranny) hangs on our wall and her eyes seem to follow the viewer at all viewing angles. It goes into a juried show at the end of this month and will be interesting to see how it fares.

You have a very nice gallery. The images capture moods well, and you have "the eye" for the impressionistic symbolism that can be found in the world around us.

Thanks!

Hi John,Thank you. The eyes do follow the viewer. The enlargement must be magnificent! Your 'other half' is very smart to have "commissioned" you for this...... You captured the windows to to KC's very soul.I *knew* that she was in love. Her eyes say it all. She trusts you! It should do very well in the show! Good luck! and let me know how it went. Thanks, Donna #6162
