The Light in the Forest

Uploaded: April 10, 2002

Description

After the "grub", after the marshmallows, the campsite table is a gathering place for quiet activities and reflection. Old Canon Sure Shot, stump used as tripod, bulb setting, total guestimate as to seconds = lucky fluke!

A fluke maybe, but a fluke based on experience and expertise! I'd attribute this very nice, warm shot more to skill than luck! This image conveys a cosy, intimate atmosphere beautifully. #4752

Thanks so much for your comments, Gerda! I was thrilled that this came out - really wasn't expecting it to. It seems to have captured the "feel" of our yearly evening camping experience with our boys and nephew in years gone by - better than any other photo I've ever taken, either before this night or after. I really appreciate your complimentary feedback on this photo that is so special to me! #6827
