Historic Group Homecoming Photograph 2006

Uploaded: June 07, 2006

Description

ISO 200, SS 1/125, F/7.1, Focal length 21 mm. Early in the 20th century this building was a schoolhouse -- my grandmother, and all her siblings and cousins and neighbors attended. There is an historic photo of these children and their teacher, taken around 1910. Every year, the descendants gather for a Homecoming reunion. This year, for the very first time, I took a whole group photo, in almost the same spot as the original! It was very sunny and almost at noon. ISO was set at 200, the other settings were on Program. I took a dozen separate photos of this group, each one taken in both RAW and JPEG (small) format. I used the widest angle I have - 18mm. I tried cropping in various ways, but decided to just leave it as is. This will now become an annual event to take the group photo, and it deeply moves me that I initiated it with my 30D camera as a result of the confidence I gained in this class. Thank you, Jim!

Exif: FNumber: 7.1, ExposureBiasValue: 3/3, ExposureTime: 0.008, Flash: flash did not fire, ISO: 200, WhiteBalance: manual white balance
