Fading Memories

Description

Up here in the Midwest, the farmland is gradually being sold off to developers, so a way of life is quickly going away. This barn, on a little used farm seemed to express a lot of that when I came across it.

Sepia tone, selective Gaussian blur, and cropping done in Photoshop. The original is included in the discussion.

1/400 sec @ f13, ISO 200

This is the original, and I really like the color in this, as the sun was just setting behind me. But I felt the sepia made more of an impact. Oh, I also cloned out some power lines that went right across the barn - quite a job, with all those intersecting lines! Whew! #453848

Both images are great, Jeremy. Is this close to Omaha? I haven't stumbled across this one. :-) #2824185

This is really nice! I like that you included the original too. I enjoy seeing the difference. Great title too! #2825125
