1/200th sec. @ f-16 Iso 160, custom white balance setting.


A macro of the interior of a very large light yellow Rose. The petals hadn't completely unfolded themselves yet. Sitting under a very large tree, the light seemed right to me, leaves giving nice shade and highlights. Took my time on this shot. The shaded corners are a result of the light coming thru the tree, no Photoshop filters, disortion or flash were used. Cleaned up in Neat Image, slight curves adjustment and cropped in CS2.

Tamara, I appreciate that. I've been trying to emphasize texture a bit more thru my flower photos while experimenting with different and unusual compositions. I'm glad to see that the subtleties are showing, thank you for commenting!
