First Methodist - ISO 100 - Tripod

Uploaded: May 16, 2006

Description

Shutter speed 15", Aperture f/5.0, ISO 100, Tripod. It is in pretty good focus and is relatively sharp at 100% magnification. There is some blur -- my tripod is a very light weight one. I do have a heavier one, it is just such a pain... The blur is only visible at high magnification, and mainly in the orange window. The color balance on these 30D photos are not as good as on the S2 but corrected easily in PSE4 (I did not upload any corrected ones though). I still need to practice more, but my night shots are getting better. This is a scene I might want to shoot while travelling and I felt it was important to learn the basic principles. The hardest thing, really, was trying to stay consistent -- getting all the variables exactly the same except the one I was working with, in this case ISO speed. What might have improved the White Balance? The church is actually very white as seen in the S2 photos.

Exif: FNumber: 5, ExposureBiasValue: 0/3, ExposureTime: 15, Flash: flash did not fire, ISO: 100, WhiteBalance: manual white balance
