I agree the clouds are fantastic, especially that line going right across which goes well with the line of the gangway. Love the bright red in the restaurant too! #2748451

Thanks to both Melissa and Kate for your nice comments. This over the river restaurant today now takes the place, and also has incorporated the old swimming baths that I swam in for just so many years.I learnt swimming in here when I was 6 years old.We even had our own swimming club here, back in those days for many years, and well before the days of the olympic style freshwater pools, full of chlorine!Today its the restaurant...but it will always be Neddies Baths to me and my age group. The cloud formation this particular late afternoon was just so different as you can see,and of course I just love clouds and different cloud formations. #2751086

Much nicer to swim in the sea! #2752730

Kate the ocean was always much nicer to swim in than our river.(it was much cleaner was the ocean). In the river,we always had to put up with thousands of jellyfish, heaps of seaweed, murky conditions, and much colder water than the ocean when summer was over,or not just begun. But it was only a few hundred metres down the road. The ocean was about one and a half hours to get to by bus. #2770913

And I guess nothing untoward every happened to you swimming in all that stuff.
We have just had a sea water man made lake which our kids have paddled and swum in with only one case of Alison coming out in a rash, banned from swimmers, paddlers, even sandcastle builders. It is all fancily fenced off with fountains and flowers. It is just not the same and families have been coming there for years all for free. I guess unfortunately the council (Maldon) cannot afford the insurance ever since somebody dived off of a board where there were many notices warning of it being shallow. He went head first on his head and died. #2771113
