The Block

Description

A friend's son makes a critical block on the opponent in the homecoming game - his first varsity start. It was soo nice to shoot a football game during the day! Shot at 1/2500 sec @ f/4.0

Great capture, Denny. Your friend will treasure this one, and his son will secret it away in his yearbook forever. The horizon seems a bit off but even upside down this is amazing work. Wonderful colors, detail, and action (hope that wasn't an illegal hi-lo block). What lens were you using? #67960

Thanks, Ronald! I printed a copy for the son, and yes, he loved it! As for the lens, I was using a (rented) Nikkor 300mm f/2.8 that I've rented before for the local high school football games. I rented it because it's about $5000.00 to buy! Nice lens, though.
As to the illegal block? Not sure, but he didn't get called for it, and the pass was complete!
Thanks for your comments.

Thanks for your response, Denny. I wish there was a place nearby where I could rent some equipment. #239616
