Description

Vain rich people being who they are, the difficult-to-find-but-not-overwhelmingly-beautiful tulip become wildly overvalued in seventeenth-century Holland. Before long people were selling their houses to buy small bulbs that vaguely resembled onions, and had a whale of a time trying to protect them. This story includes the now-famous History House mechanism for pinpointing the extent of overvalued goods with cheese tonnage
