Dramatic with lighting. Like the title, Conrad. #431263Conrad L. Conero April 21, 2006
Thanks, Melissa. Have a lot of B&W's which I normally wouldn't post, but they fit this month's theme.Conrad L. Conero April 25, 2006
Thanks, Sam. I know the contrast is a little strong, but they were looking for B&W in this month's theme, and this certainly has those extremes.Chris N. Sweet May 27, 2008
Beautiful shot Conrad, great mood with the excellent tones and brilliant lighting. I really like your exposure on this. Great stuff. #5984756Conrad L. Conero May 27, 2008
Thanks, Chris. Am recycling some of my better older images. This was a $50 first prize winner for me in our annual contest where I worked until last year plus someone who saw it there bought it for another $50. I should continue to be so lucky! #5985389Joan E. Hoffman May 27, 2008
This is very eyecatching, Conrad! (and no pun intended ~S~) Love the composition and the lighting. Very well done! #5986210M.Christine Duncan May 28, 2008
I admire your great capture of this lighting, and your glasses with the book is classic. I feel very calm looking at this photo :-) Nicely done! #5987344Lonnie M. Scott May 28, 2008
Nice job Conrad...this is what I consider a real strong image!! #5987714Conrad L. Conero May 28, 2008
Thanks, Joan, Chris & Lonnie! Liked the shadow pattern from the blinds on the table,so arranged the book and glasses there to see how that would look. Love the contrast of light and dark. Guess that's why I like B&W so much. #5987955Laura E. Swan May 30, 2008
I really think you are onto something Sherlock. The B&W. The shades from the windows casted there for the mystery effect. The glasses laying there to let the viewers know the detective needed a break from it all...all very well planned and moving and clever. It appeals to me. Great work. I like your style. Give us more. -Laura Swan #5995890Conrad L. Conero June 04, 2008
Thanks, Laura. Have been converting most of the color photos I take with my D40 to B&W. That feature was a requirement for me when I was going to get a digital since B&W is my favorite format. I like strong contrast although I think I already said that somewhere here about this image. When I saw the shadow pattern on the table I knew I had to use it in a photo. #6019234Candice L. Excellent use of light my friend! #6597693Conrad L. Conero October 14, 2008
