Koala Eating

Uploaded: April 16, 2006

Description

Just got back from a week on beautiful, natural Kangaroo Island - full of Australian wildlife! Here, a young koala eating in a gum tree on Southern Australia's Kangaroo Island. Koalas are marsupials (not bears) and sleep about 19 hours a day due to their slow digestive system and low nutrition diet. Canon 75-300mm with IS.
