Alan Baker as Buffalo Bill Cody

Uploaded: April 10, 2006

Description

September, 2004 in Cody, Wyoming. Mr. Baker, dressed in authentic period clothing of that of Buffalo Bill Cody, was an actor in a street re-enactment in downtown Cody. This candid shot, was later painted for Mr. Baker by my husband, Dennis Karchner. His work can be viewed at www.karchnerwesternart.com.

10x zoom lens, UV filter, background removed and replaced with back lighting only, part of the dust bib, jacket and buttons were re-created in PS 5.5 during editing and color adjustments.

This was a candid that I converted to a portrait.....just want some feedback on it. Read my story first and he'll make more sense to you as to why I took the photo. #428937

Excellent job. Sharp as a tack, excellent skin tones and textures. With color in his shirt to boot. Nice choice of neutral background, also. Very nice. A great character study. #2655623
