I like this one - the plant is what we called syringa or mock orange I think - heavenly scent. #424658

Nice flowers!

Crit:
- flowers are soft and low contrast. most likely due to the shade.
- image is busy due to large number of elements in photo.

Thanks so much for both your comments. Susan, I couldn't remember what my mom told me they were. Wing, thanks for your very helpful critique. At first, I liked this photo (still do) and was going to submit it to my class as an "After" shot, and we're asked not to do anything to them, even crop. But then, the more I looked at the photo, the more hesitant I was, because I could really see the problems in it. But I still like it! :) #2631792

I don't know if you are allowed to modify the image any, but I believe if the leaves in the upper left corner were pushed into the background(blur) a little more, it would give more emphasis to the cluster of flowers.

The composition of the image is nice, along the rule of thirds, it's just that too much of the background and distracting elements were in focus, making the image seem more busy.

Sorry for the short list before, but was typing with a baby in one arm and that always cuts down my typing lenth. :)

The photo itself is quite nice. (Btw, this is my actual account. Finally found my login name again. ^_^) #2633611
