This horse was almost at the end of the cross country course, and is looking rather hot ! #420865

Thank you Crystal. I enjoyed using my 105mm/Macro which hasn't been out much since I bought it. Yes he did clear the jump OK, but don't know how he went on in the competition. Bill J. #2612036

Pat and Graham . Robards April 07, 2006

This is wonderful Bill as are all your photos in the gallery. I haven't got time to comment on all of them.

There is white on the horses front legs, is it snow or markings?

It is a well timed shot with the macro lens! Hope we get as good one day!

Pat #2618527

William Johnson April 07, 2006

Thank you for the complement,Pat. The white on the horses legs is "sweat" I believe, and after a cross country chase i'm not surprised it was sweating, are you? This shot was taken using the 105mm lens as opposed to the Macro part of the lens. Bill J. #2618827

Pat and Graham . Robards April 07, 2006

Sweat, well my goodness me Bill, no I am not surprised now! Thank you for the information! !Pat #2619195

Nice action shot. The jockey seems pretty determined to finish. #2619305

Thanks a lot Tom. I think in show jumping they prefer to be called Riders rather than Jockey's Bill J. #2619363

Andrew JM Davies April 20, 2006

Great shot. The composition is very good using the thirds-rule and you have left more space on the lefthand side for the horse to move into - good.

Using your 105mm again I see - A good lens choice for this shot, it's doing you proud!

Cheers,
Andrew #2667248
