Another lovely photo from your gallery Lynn, I love the composition on this one (ac) #430688

Thanks Audrey,
This foal was born to a mare that the neighbors were keeping for LSER (Lone Star Equine Rescue). The mare was thin when they got her and only a few months pregnant. She gained weight during the year and surprised everyone with the quality of her foal. Very nicely built he was. He was born during the summer olympics in Athens, so they named him Athens. We took several photos of him for her and this one just screams spring! I like his fuzzy ears! This photo was taken in our predigital days; it is nice to be able to bring old film photos into the digital realm and use them again! And improve them in some ways. I told my husband about your gallery, the way you two share it. Not sure he wants to go that route, but I like it! He doesn't have his own gallery yet; but will soon because I think he's going to take the D20 course next month. #2665839

Oh, what a cutie, Lynn! You're right...perfect light. Nice job scanning this. Love all the equine images in your gallery! #2879636

Thank you, Joy! We didn't actually scan it; we had it off a disk when we developed the photos (got a CD). Doubt a scan would be this sharp. We have quite a few of our film photos from CDs and I've been contemplating revisiting some of them, but haven't had the time. This one just seemed appropriate for the spring season. #2880686

Hi, Lisa, Thanks for seeing this fellow! This one is in our gallery because it shows about where we were with the Canon AE1 before going digital. Now-a-days I spend some time on the computer adjusting images to look as good as they did straight out of that old Canon! Not to say we never get them digitally like this, but it is sort of like typing on a computer, you don't worry much about typos because they are so easy to correct, whereas, in the old days, you had to break out that "whiteout" and dab it on and blow it dry and find the spot to retype. It made for much more accurate typing and digital photography seems to be similar to typing on the computer: you get almost unlimited chances without penalty on most shoots. #4150623
