Excellent composition! I love your choice of Black and White and the way the light brushes across his fingers. Outstanding!!!

Glad you like it! You've done some pretty awesome stuff yourself! I took this shot at the end of the day of shooting headshots for this guy. He had no idea what I was doing ... thought I was crazy. When I delivered the straight stuff, I handed him a print of this. He was just blown away. Of such things is satisfaction made. Thanks!

Outstanding image, John! The pose also looks like his wand could be a 'violin' and his left hand fingers are placed at the neck & the right hand is getting ready to draw the 'bow' against the strings! 'Eye of the beholder' is true with EVERY photo. SUPERB work! #2558108

Hi Pat and Melinda,
I really like this shot. It was taken with a Mamiya C300, a camera I truly miss. I did many find portraits with this, including a series for AidsWalk that were used as banners in several cities. This shot was the last frame; at that time there were costs for one more shot. The other shot worked well, but this shot was the best. Some time I have to do a scan off the negative, as this one, from a print is not perfect. The original 16x20 inch print is one of my favorites. It was displayed in my office for years! Thanks again for your interest. By the way I now teach two courses for BetterPhoto, one on lighting and one on lighting portraits.
Thanks, John Siskin
