Description

It is the first time I have seen a river Dolphin,(and I have seen a lifetime of them),actually frolic in the air like this one.In the ocean it is much more common, for Dolphins to enjoy their aerial acrobatic`s as this one was.Swan River,Perth,Western Australia. 3March,2006. 10.05AM.

WOW - wonderful experience to see this Joe!! Great close up and focussing. It is a shame he was not up a fraction higher in the image but I know how hard it is if you are on full zoom. #403839

I agree with you Kate, I could not get the whole Dolphin in the frame. It only made about 5 leaps, and I realy was not prepared with camera,to see our River Dolphins performing as such.I only took two shots, and the other one was when the Dolphin had moved too far from me.It was moving further away each leap.I did not enter in comp, because I would wish it was totally within the frame as well. But I am happy to have seen this and recorded it, as its a first for me.I hope now our river Dolphins are changing habits,I realy dont think I can wait another 50 plus years for my next jumping river Dolphin shot! Thanks Kate. #2504589
