Description

This guy model of mine had the most AMAZING eyes. I wanted to focus on this feature that just really stood out. He was a great model to work with. :)
Let me know what you all think :)

I like your composition and lighting, possibly if he had turned ever so slight the pierced lip would have produced more drama #400741

Very pretty colored eye. Nice looking young man. Like the dark background makes him standout. Kerby #2481272

Great capture, love the eyes. The blue earring kind of pulls your focus away from them though..But a great shot. #2481348

Definately a striking portrait. Love the tones in it, dark and moody. And the selective color on the eye really works great, but I think the blue earring is distracting too. But I love the crop and overall look of it.

I love this picture; I love the colors and composition. I like the blue earring. It adds to the effect. I personally think it make this very interesting picture even more interesting to look at. Wonderful!!! This is one for both of your portfolios. #2481658

Thanks for all your comments. I really appreciate you guys taking the time. I really feel that the earring adds interest. I really wanted to glorify the interesting aspects of this person and personally did not feel that the earring distracted but added a lot to the overall image. I also felt that the diagonal flow of the two played on one another quite effectively. I did leave the lip ring out on purpose mainly to keep the eye focused on the eye and the earring. I felt that adding the lip-ring was/would take away from the rule of thirds in both composition and the way the eye flows through the image. But, thanks!! it is really interesting to hear the different comments and how people perceive an image :) :)
