Description

This shot was taken at the Buffalo roundup in Custer State Park South Dakota.. every year they round up the herd and cull out a few to keep the size of the herd down to what the land can hold. They auction off the extras to gain money for the SD parks and wildlife programs.... this was shot with the 500 F4 IS L canon lens from a tripod... the herd was coming at me from about a mile out....

What an amazing image!

We can be very thankful that they are still on this earth to capture. You are very fortunate to have been able to photograph these majestic animals in such a wonderful way.

I love the flow of the herd, the dust/fog, and the colors in this photo.
