Description

Rock striations in the weather beaten headlands overlooking the endless rugged shoreline at twilight. I spent literally two full days hiking up and down the coast looking for a spot like this and was finally rewarded. Exposure was 3 minutes at F16. ISO 100. 3-stop hard ND grad. Minimal PS work. Thanks for your comments.

Always WOW ! WOW ! WOW!
can u share the secret behind getting superb landscapes like this..always a silent admire of your work.. #2456383

Marc E. Adamus February 23, 2006

Yes, the secret to landscape photography is previsulization, interpretation, dedication to your subject and technical mastery. In other words, know when to be there, how to compose the landscape elements, stay out there a lot and emmerse yourself in the landscape and understand how your camera will use the light. Tamara - I used a Tamron 17-35 f/2.8-4 LD. A lens I'm starting to prefer over the Canon 17-40 these days. #2456705
