I found out today evil exists in the focal plane between my lens, my desire to capture it, and the real world.

Liquified, demystified, in the dead car lies a dead future.

The bullet that pierced the neck knew its existance as a tool of void,

Void's brother's loss having been lost only moments ago.

My marquee selects only the emotional layer I choose to select,

And not the moment of hate it's ordered by me to inquire.

The camera shutter shows no concern and the evil is allowed to exist,

By me?

Or by a mechanical mechanism?

Wear a mask and hide your deepening regret that breeds more regret,

And then as if regrets family commits incest,

The child of which becomes my burden,

Then and to this day still carried.

Standing there sullen and cold the machine kept singing click...

Click...

When evil looked at me I flinched,

But I refused to look away and,

Only brushed up against its more forgiving side.

While I stood there in shock,

The moment we shared stood up and left.

Fuck you,...

I said it as it walked by.

And evil smiled.... #56729

While I was building this composite in Photoshop I was building this poem in my mind, so yes it does. The center image is of an atempted murder scene, where the occupant was shot in the neck while he was driving, fortunantly he survived. You have to expereince a crime scene to understand the surrealness of it. I guess I was trying to put it in some sort of perspective. Ugly, bizzare, tragic, powerful, yet strangely inviting and guilty all wrapped up into one emotion or feeling. Im not very good at writing or spelling but I give it a go from time to time..... #186755

Matthew, I am doing good. I live right on the border of the Connecticut River, which splits Vermont and New Hampshire. The "Upper Valley" as it's called is very good, great area, beautiful in nature. Allows for great photo-ops. Fall is here and so it's raining a lot and the foliage is changing colors. Chucky's a musician, huh? LOL. That's fresh, hip. Does he sing at the pubs with his bros? Anyway, keep the combo of photos/poetry alive and flourishing. It's a real talent you have. I want to see a poem based on the photo you took of "top hat" the one you posted here a few weeks ago. That was a great shot! #187482
