Description

Trying out my new lights and light tents. They are daylight balanced lights, but I still had a hard time adjusting my white balance in camera. No amtter what I tried it looked off and I had to adjust in PSP. Any suggestions for WB settings?

Very cool still life, I always wanted to get a light tent, Jan. No real suggestions, but if you camera has a custom WB setting you could work with that. #387151

I just got one of those tents also and I did play with the WB and I still didn't come up with the white I expected!

Thanks, Paul and Linda! I love the tents in that I don't have to worry about reflections of the room showing up and I can control the lighting and not have to rely on the right light coming in from a window and bouncing it back with a reflector all the time. But I tried every white balance setting on my camera (Canon EOS 300D) and just couldn't get it right. It was either too warm or too cool. I didn't think I would have this problem with the daylight balanced bulbs, but I do. (sigh) It did help a bit when I inserted my own posterboard as a backdrop instead of their insert, but not a lot. I just wish I could get to where I only have minor contrast and brightness instead of color balance. Color balance is the hardest thing for me... especially when isolating subjects against white! #2384392
