Description

I am not sure which section to put this in as it is special effects and a bit of digital darkroom! This is simply a clear plastic stopper from my electric foodmixer lid - it is 2.5 inches in diameter and very dull. The colours and light are all external effects using cross-polarisation. The only digital tweak is a touch of flexify filter.

Wow ! this is excellent with the detail, colors and curve, Janet. I am attracted more to the curve so I suggest to put under Pattern and Design theme. Have a nice day. #387098

Janet, all these people who commented before me don't know what they're talking about. THIS IS A LOT BETTER THAN THEY HAVE INDICATED. It is the best abstract I've seen for some time #2383627

This is wonderful Janet! and I tend to agree with Darryl that Elements of Design would be my final choice. Mary :p #2384014

This is awesome Janet. It fits Special Effects with the Cross Polarisation technique and should do very well here. It would also work in Elements of Design. There is more competition in that category though. I would say a very good chance for a First in Special Effects. I know if I were judging I would choose it. I just went through all of SE and it's the best I've seen so far. Composition and use of space for this technique is awesome. Color is fabulous and the light is in just the right place with good rhythm and flow.

PS..If you decide to change it, there is a thread in QA on how to chance without deleting and reentering.

Wow! Thank you so much everyone for your totally overwhelming comments of encouragement. I am just amazed at your response and delighted. I think I put it in Special Effects so I will leave it there and hope it is OK. I have been unable to comment today but will catch up as soon as I can. Once again a huge THANK YOU #2386280
