Jackson Square, New Orleans

Uploaded: January 23, 2006

Description

Jackson Square is in the heart of the French Quarter with the statue of President Andrew Jackson and St. Louis Cathedral in the background. Jackson Square was called the Place d'Armes by the French and Plaza de Armas by the Spanish. This was the area where the militia drilled and the citizens met. The park is landscaped in a sun pattern, with walkways set like rays streaming out from the center. A beautiful place to take a stroll. Added softness on the edges for a dreamy appearance. Shot at 1/750, 5.6, ISO @ 200 with a Canon IS 17-85mm Lens.
