Hip Shot I

Uploaded: January 23, 2006

Description

1/3 second, F5.3, manual focus at two meters, 1 stop underexposed. Saturation boost. I chose these settings for blur and movement, with at least the highlights with somewhat sharp edges. Striding through the arcades in Bern, Switzerland, firing from hip - literally! Any visually busy window display was fair game... First in a series.

Thanks Mary! As trite as it sounds, with digital photography, you can *afford* to be creative. It took a great many attempts to get the two images in this series - from the same window display! If I can summon the nerve, I'm going to try camera tossing, next... Heads up! #2332984
