Thank's Carla!
A bit of a lucky shot. I was taking pictures of the Bullfinch and the Tit just came as a bonus. #2310314

Tom,

You have some great shots of these small birds. Are you getting these with just a 300mm lens? Are you using a tripod or are they hand held? I can't get this detail on smaller birds. I can't get close enough. I have 80-400mm VR lens.

Hello Albert! These birdspictures are taken by a winterfeedingground. Eventually the birds are getting used to you and the distance is no more than a few meters. I always use at least a monopod especially during wintershooting when the light often is a bit poor. Last week a had one Coaltit sitting on my lens so that is how close they can get. Of course You have to be patience and You must be ready to do a lot of waiting. Good luck with Your shooting! #2484484
