Here are 2 intermediate steps, shown on the way to my final result ("I Left My Heart...") #370758

As you would expect, I LOVE IT! The design is perfection. The bold, stark black/white with heart red is SUPERB! You are a true artist, my friend! Don't you just love to "color out the lines"? #2262494

Margie Hurwich January 07, 2006

Thank you Pat, Margie, Alisha, Corrine & Kerby, very much! Kerby, I'm glad you 'approve' since your photoballs were my motivator. I'm still not sure why my background looks different from yours (ie, my diagonal black lines in the upper left and right are "broken" and shifted slightly, where they meet the oval shape of the image... yours aren't? I actually attempted to correct that break/shift in the lower left/right corners!)
Pat---I assume Flexify creates a full round image (which you then placed on an unrelated background? Your "lace ornament" is drawing massive crowds! Such a cool effect!) #2263610

Stan Lubach January 08, 2006

This came out wonderful. Great job, Christopher! The red really makes a nice highlight fo rthe image. You, know, the whole thing kind of looks like the backdrop for a music video. :^) #2265327

Thank you, Stan! I think I know what you mean... I thought it had that "hip/urban" graphic design look, like the bold tattoos you see nowadays, that kind of "look", particularly the heart and heavy dark border portions, without the bridge cables... (One of my sisters also suggested it was a simplified pair of hands, holding out a heart.) #2265708

Ken Smith level-classic January 08, 2006

Wow, that's beautiful. Well done. But, you lost me by the 2nd image. :-) #2265909

Thanks, Ken! But c'mon; look at your "Lighthouse in a Mirror Ball"... I don't think this transformation is really beyond you?! (I love the effect of the lightbeam you added!) #2270789

Very interesting abstract image! Nice work! #2282673

Thanks so much, JD! I certainly play with Polar Coordinates more often now, just to see what might develop, after this early attempt! #2523053
