Description

Original shot: F/16, 1/79 sec., 92mm, ISO-200. This is the same image as "Old Barn" (Photo ID: 1600737) edited.

Edits:
Layer 1: "re-roofed" the right end of the barn"
Layer 2: Desaturated 2 steps; cut out right end.
Layer 3: Removed color; cut out more.
Layer 4: Graphic Pen sketch filter; cut out more.

Flattened, blended the seams a bit, fixed some details, and resized.

This old barn is now actually a memory... It was torn down this spring. :(

Thanks so much Jill, Darryl, Alison, and Mary! It is so great to have positive feedback on this image! I really wasn't sure how folks would like it...

Jill: Kind of both really! The intent was to have it look like decay over time, ending with the drawing of what used to be there. But the reality is that I had to "rebuild" the right side of the barn to make it look whole...

Another title could be "Fading into memory" --- which is what I expect to happen in the next few years. #2259092

Thank you so much Keith! It is good to know that others appreciate, and understand, the effort put into a labor of love.

I have to give props here to the image, by Darren Fisher, that inspired this effort. I first saw it on another photo site before he posted it here for the Transform monthly theme.
