Description

A traditional Haveli ( Mansion) in the city of Jaisalmer, Rajasthan,India. Apart from its architecture, Jaisalmer is unique for the yellow sandstone used extensively in the construction of the city's fort and the traditional mansions of the brocade merchants like this one here. The use of yellow sandstone gives the buildings a tawny lion colour look during the day, fading to honey-gold as the sun sets.
