Paper Wasp Blowing Bubbles

Description

It was pretty hot today and many wasps and bees were buzzing around this hydrangea plant across the street from where we are staying in Gloucester. If you look closely you will see this paper wasp is blowing a bubble. I watched him for a few minutes. He would blow a bubble, then flick it off with those tiny little appendges below his mouth. Then blow another one. I looked it up and it may be related to the wasp regulating his temperature by regurgitating fluid. How about that!
