The sunset and the landscape came out very photogenic. The bird in the water also adds to the beauty. #365054Sue L. Cullumber December 27, 2005
Joe, Very pretty - love the single pelican in the water! #2227768Joe Terni December 27, 2005
Thanks Taylor and Sue for your nice comments. At this section of the river early this morning, there was only me and the Pelican.Heavy cloud, but it lit up like this for only a couple of minutes, just pre sunrise, and then the colour was gone as the sun rose higher behind heavier clouds. #2227787Kate Jackson December 29, 2005
Looks like heaven and earth are on fire Joe! Glorious colours. How wonderful to be all alone there with a pelican! #2231512Joe Terni December 29, 2005
Thanks Bill and Kate.Just a couple of minutes of good light up and then it was back to a fairly ordinary washed out light orange.Pelicans are always good company early morning here. The Dolphins are as well, but mo Dolphins for a few weeks,so a lone Pelican keeps me some company, albeit from a distance. #2232136Marijana Fajgl December 31, 2005
Unreal beauty...amazing colors!Joe Terni December 31, 2005
And best wishes to you Marijana and Happy New Year as well(and of course the same good wishes to all the other nice folk on BP).We are way ahead down here with only a little over a couple of hours to 2006! Thanks Marijana, but I think the little Pelican may not see me early morning tomorrow,on new years day! #2237720Phil Cannon May 22, 2007
