Gulmarg in Winter

Description

Re-submitting the photo that I had posted just the other day. Thanks to Terry Cervi's suggestion to uncheck the 'warming filter' option, I think I got the pink cast issue resolved for me. I had that as default option for such a long time and something that definitely worked against my posts - I can't thank you enough Terry! Much appreciated. This photo was taken few years back during a winter vacation in Gumarg, India. At about 8,690 ft in the Western Himalayas, Gulmarg is a popular hill station and skiing destination. This photo was taken on 28th December - on the 3rd day after the first snowfall in that region, I would not like to go there during January- early March! :-) Now, even the day temperatures are in minus C.

Great to hear this worked for you. I never check the warming filter. Not sure why its even an option. Beautiful capture, Ujjwal. #1754469

Terrific image, Ujjwal! I love the colors contrasting to the snow in a perfect composition! I had just perceived that the warming option is always marked as default, it can change de colors really. #11866830

Thank you, Ujjwal and I'm happy this fix worked for you! I agree about the warming filter and how it is automatically "on" by default and we have to remember to uncheck that option. I love your beautiful shot of Gulmarg! Winter photos are my favorite! #11866832

Ujjwal, I just compared your two submissions side by side and you can really see the pink cast in your first submission. I like your second submission better without it So pretty!! #11866844

Ujjwal, I too looked at your gallery to compare this photo with the earlier submission. This one is so much nicer! I can understand your concern the other day. #11866847

The fix is much better, Ujjwal! I make it a habit to uncheck warming and to select no sharpening. If anyone messes up my photos, I want it to be me! #11866884
