Description

This is a typical home of Embera Indians living deep in the jungles of Panama. To get to the village you travel up a river about one hour in a dug out canoe powered by an outboard motor. The village has a deal with a cruise line to allow excursions to visit, during which they offer for sale crafts made by them, some carved from wood, others dyed using dyes made by them. The Indians speak their own language and have also been taught Spanish, the language of Panama. A truly memorable experience.
