Like Water Off A Duck

Uploaded: August 31, 2020

Description

Water & leaves pool in this area of our wooden walkway next to a retaining wall during a hard rain. While standing under the carport I got this idea to take my rubber ducky out for a swim. The rain had let up some by the time I got everything to come together, so I wasnt able to get the hardest rain to show in the frame. I wanted to experiment more w/ my macro lens for this shot just to see what I could get on the 'full' setting. I was surprised and delighted to see the strong reflection. I duplicated the subject and added a partial duck in front. It's the only time this week I felt like I had my ducks in a row :) Settings were F2.80 1/320 iso 100 @ 100mm on a short tripod.
