Description

This red-winged starling joined us for lunch. and sat on the table and even tried to eat from my plate (Aughrabies Falls, Northern Cape, South Africa). They sometimes become a real nuisance at picnic spots. That doesn't take away any of their beauty. The fine dark feathers and especially their bright orange eyes are absolutely stunning. Canon EOS 70D. Standard lens. Autofocus.
