Last Hoorah

My favorite vase is an unevenly tarnished silver-plated teapot. Even after the flowers have faded and begin to lose their petals, they revive once more for a photo because they still have something to offer that is beautiful, especially if they are light painted. I set up a black background and a black wool cloth for the bottom in an almost total dark room. I used my favorite J-5 tactical flashlight as the light source. During the exposure I wanted to put the majority of light on the flowers and a quick dusting of light on the vase to reduce reflections. A flashlight is my favorite indoor light source for still life's. Settings F 11 10 sec iso 100 @ 24mm.
