Description

At Fort Mason in San Francisco, looking through a gap in the buildings to the bay. For the PG101 Wabi-sabi theme. A tough concept to try to grasp; I found this synopsis helpful: "Wabi, which roughly means ‘the elegant beauty of humble simplicity’, and sabi, which means ‘the passing of time and subsequent deterioration’, were combined to form a sense unique to Japan and pivotal to Japanese culture. But just as Buddhist monks believed that words were the enemy of understanding, this description can only scratch the surface of the topic."

The blue motif is beautiful, and the single figure in silhouette is just right. #1734563

Excellent leading lines, silhouette, shades of blue and pov Martha, that category sounds like a challenge for sure, but I love your take on it with this fantastic image!!! #11793970

I love the lines all leading to the bay. And the blue reflection on the center lines adds perfectly to the scene! Fun theme, and a great entry for it. #11793984
