Description

On a neighbor's mailbox there was once a painted scene. I say "once" because the years of sun and weather have stressed it into a new form, one that is itself interesting. For the PG101 wabi sabi theme. The concept of wabi sabi has to do with the acceptance of transience and imperfection - finding beauty in that which is imperfect, impermanent, incomplete. Interesting skyline with a storm overhead, and a plane falling apart.... :-) Happy Theme Day #1734515

Looks like I am looking over a lip of broken aqua glass, and at a sky with gloomy clouds over it. #11793880

I would have never guessed a mailbox! But what a beautiful scene it has left behind. Beautiful colors and textures. #11793987

A wonderful example of beauty in abstract, unplanned lines and decay, Mitch. It's quite elegant. #11794039
