Beautiful sundogs on snowdrifts

Description

Eastern North Dakota was home to a 2 day snowstorm recently in late January 2020. The storm was winding down on this day and with the snow crystals still in the air it created this ring around the sun called Sun Dogs. The newly formed drifts in the foreground were created by the storm and I think they are a great subject for the sun dogs. The wind was still very strong from the north so I'm on the south side of some trees. The snow was quite deep so I had to trudge through the snow with my snowshoes.
