Bubble Net Feeding Humpbacks

Uploaded: October 23, 2019 | Entered: October 23, 2019 06:24:01

Description

Humpbacks exhibit cooperative feeding behavior known as bubble net feeding in which a group of whales dive together and surround a school of fish, blowing bubbles to create a net of bubbles surrounding and containing the fish. Then they surface through the school with their huge jaws open to capture the fish. This image shows the huge humpback jaws open as they surface with the baleen plates visible.
