The State Fair of Texas opened yesterday in Dallas - The fair first opened in 1886 with 14,000 visitors. It now sees 1 million+ visitors each year during the 24 day event.
The Texas Star Ferris Wheel has been an icon in Dallas since 1985 and it can carry 264 passengers in its 44 gondolas. .
