Sparrow on Flower Stalk

Description

Actually, I'm not sure that this pretty little bird actually is a sparrow, but in going through my bird books to try to identify it, the species it seems to resemble most closely is a sparrow. However, this bird, which I photographed in High Park here in Toronto, looks somewhat different both in colour and markings, from the many sparrows I've previously photographed here in my city. Be that as it may, it is a very pretty little bird.
