Scrub Jay

Description

The Florida scrub jay's habitat keeps disappearing, and the species is in great trouble. The males are highly territorial, so you can't just move them from one area to another and expect them to quickly adapt. They're likely to try to go back to their old places, and if those are being developed, the bird is in trouble. The scrub jay is on the endangered species list. This is the first one I've seen on my walks.
