Tree with Nine Proboscis Bats

Uploaded: January 05, 2019 | Entered: January 05, 2019 14:55:04

Description

If you look closely on the right of this tree trunk there are nine little upturned nosed (Proboscis) bats all in a curvy line. They line up this way to look like a snake to keep away predators. When we went by on our little boat they swayed a little so they really looked like a snake. This was in a canal in Tortuguero National Park in Costa Rica.
