Clapper Rail

I wasn't familiar with this bird when I took the photo. But I got it ID'ed, and it is a Clapper Rail, which isn't endangered as of yet, but is on the decline, mainly because of their habitat being disturbed by humans moving in closer to their habitat. I shot this handheld, Canon 7D Mark II, Canon 100-400mm L lens at 400mm, f8, 1/640, ISO 160 with polarizing filter on because of the harsh light around 3:30 in the afternoon. I took this in Huntington Beach State Park, Murrells Inlet, SC a few weeks ago.
