In the foreground, the amphitheater at the new Salesforce Park in downtown San Francisco; in the background, a few of the neighboring buildings. The 4-acre park, which includes a perimeter walkway, lawns, exercise equipment, a mobile library, fountains, many varied plants and trees, and seating areas throughout, was built on top of the new transit center. With so many very tall buildings going up downtown, shading previously sunny areas south of Market Street, it's wonderful to have a place to enjoy midday sun.
