Description

At Matanuska Glacier near Palmer, Alaska. The bright pink flower is called "Fireweed" and is everywhere in Alaska ... adding a pop of color to an already awesome view of the glacier. We hiked through mud and rocks to get a chance to stand on this glacier.
Such a thrill!

I love the contrast of the brilliant pink against the muted background tones. Wonderful framing and depth too! #11715635
