Description

This photo was part of a group of Black & White Minimalism shots. Often this technique is with landscapes and inanimate objects. I chose to do a portrait. Black & White Minimalism is when you have a composition where 'less is more' . They create powerful yet simple & intriguing images by including a large amount of empty space. My goal was two-fold this week; to capture a model in low key lighting & have as little detail as possible. This model was light painted with a fixed flash light on a light stand behind her head. I used a cable remote on bulb setting in total darkness. Settings: F4 1/50 sec iso 100 40mm Touched up in Topaz Glow
