A Tractor or Two

Uploaded: December 06, 2017 | Entered: December 06, 2017 13:27:34

Description

The one leading the parade is probably a 1530 model McCormick-Deering tractor, that would have been built in the late 1920’s. McCormick-Deering was never an American “company” itself, but the trademark name of a line of tractors and farm machinery manufactured by the International Harvester Co. This scene is in the back yard of the Gunnedah Rural Museum in New South Wales, and if the tractor could be restored to working order, it would demand an unbelievable price by an antique tractor collector. Most of these tractors were painted in the International Harvesters bright red colour!

Wonderful old relics, John, captured with a fine perspective and angled composition. How different they would look in bright red color! Fantastic. #11663223
